Ben Stein’s Expelled: Exposing the Crap

Richard Dawkins
I’ve always been annoyed when people, usually evolutionists, point fingers at Catholic history. It always runs along lines of how the ‘evil’ church persecuted the opened minded, freethinking scientists who only wanted to enlighten mankind.
Talk about ‘glass houses.’
I’m going to say that modern science has become the thing it despises. Ben Stein’s new film, ‘Expelled,’ shows scientific hypocrisy in full color and Dolby surround sound. We are still in the same debate and dealing with the same attitude.
In Galileo’s day the debate was not over whether or not the Bible was correct or if God existed, but over the Church deciding, against all evidence, that they held the correct doctrine when it came to the arrangement of our solar system. But the Church was in charge, so the evidence was ignored, and Galileo was brought up on charges.
Is it really so different today? The scientific elite are our new Vatican, they have decided that the authority of Darwinism is absolute and anyone daring to question this position should be prepared to pay the price.
Like Richard Dawkins indicated, there’s nothing worse than a rival doctrine.
The modern debate is not about God vs evolution. It’s beyond that. It has become about whether or not it is reasonable to look at a given piece of evidence and suggest that perhaps said evidence has arisen by a means other than chance. That’s all. Apparently, the scientific elite can not even deal with this remote possibility.
Expelled could well be the most important movie of the decade. Please, go see it while free speech is still allowed.
Michele Archer is fit to be tied with legalistic Christians. The ones who think they should listen to God for her and then dictate how she ought to be living her Christian life. And worse yet, they always, always want to tell her how to write!
Michele Archer is a school teacher, originally from Los Angeles. She has two absolutely wonderful sons. She also has a dog, a pet snake and a parrot that won’t shut up. She plays the violin and has performed with the Dallas Opera Orchestra and on the stage of the Grand Old Opry, however, writing is her first love.
Her short stories have appeared in places like ‘Alien Skin Magazine’ and ‘Serpentine Tales’ and have been called ‘really weird.’ The last time she made it into an actual Christian publication was only after agreeing that her story be given a warning label.
She found the incident funny, yet alienating, but is thrilled to death that maybe a few aliens like her have finally found a home.
Her favorite color is nuclear yellow.

Nice article. I totally agree that science is the new Vatican. Any evidence that shows up that is against Darwin is quickly dismissed and the person who brings it forward is discredited. Regarding evolution,I think if I lived by myself on a group of islands I would come up with some pretty crazy ideas too.
